Common questions about private events

Hosting something new can bring up a lot of “what ifs.” Here are answers to the questions we hear most often about private adventures.

No experience needed. Your game master explains everything in plain language and guides your group through the story and rules. Many of our favorite sessions have been with complete beginners.

Most adventures work best with 4–8 players at a single table. For larger groups, we can discuss multiple tables or a custom format. Tell us your guest count and we will suggest the best setup.

We run private events for kids, teens, and adults, and we adjust content to be age appropriate. For younger groups, we keep rules simple and focus on clear choices and fun moments. For older groups, we can dial up complexity and strategy.

Yes. You can tell us about your group’s interests, topics to avoid, and the tone you would like. We can steer away from heavy themes and keep things light, whimsical, spooky, or anywhere in between.

Yes. We run both in person and online private events. For online sessions, we will share a simple tech setup and links ahead of time so everyone can join easily.

We work with your schedule — class periods, afterschool times, or special events. Before the program, we’ll confirm dates, group sizes, space, sensitivities and then provide all the materials students need to participate.
