About Berlings Beard
We are game masters, facilitators, and storytellers who believe that shared stories can help people feel more connected, seen, and brave together.

How Berlings Beard began
Berlings Beard started with a simple idea
What began as running games for friends and small groups grew into hosting birthday quests, library programs, and team events. As more people asked for custom adventures, it became clear that this was more than a hobby. It was a way to help groups connect in a way that screens, lectures, and icebreakers could not.
Today, Berlings Beard focuses on crafting experiences that are as easy to plug into a schedule as any other activity, but with the depth and heart of a shared story that people remember long after the session ends.

BerlingsBeard was conceived of and created by Ken Breese as a portfolio of projects focused on role playing games and how they figure into groups of humans collaborating, storytelling, problem solving, and exploring new viewpoints to better understand themselves and one another.
Since 2010 we have been distributing these projects through a myriad of platforms, both online and physically as well as collaborating with other creators.

Ken got his start gaming at an early age and as of 2018 has 8 years of professional event organizing experience, 16 years experience Game Mastering, & 25 years general gaming experience.
Berling, a character from Norse mythology, was one of four Dwarves know as the Brisings, who created a most beautiful piece of golden jewelry known as the Brisingamen for the goddess of love, Freya. The other three were Alfrigg, Dvalin, and Grerr.
